FAQ's

What Should I Do To Prepare For My Appointment?

Take some time to get dolled up! Put on a little make up and do your hair, it is also helpful to bring undergarments of similar styles that you will wear on your wedding day, including strapless bras and those magic spanx! Also bring heels of a height that you will wear for your wedding. That way, you'll have an easier time picturing yourself on your wedding day in your dream gown. (Don't worry if you forget some of the above, Madeleine's always keeps spare shoes and extra undergarments in case you do.)

What Sample Sizes Do You Carry?

Sample size gowns (the ones you will be trying on at your appointment) vary from size 6 -26. Once ordered, and depending on the designer, sizes can range from 2- 28.

What Should I Expect For Alterations?

We work closely with extremely talented and highly skilled tailors who are experts in their craft, who we will refer you to a few months out from your wedding date. Alterations will be a separate charge from your gown, so make sure you factor that in to your overall budget.

Do You Allow Walk-in’s?

Madeleine's always welcomes walk-ins. We do encourage an appointment to ensure one-on-one customer service with our highly trained bridal consultants. Weekend appointments fill up quickly, so it is important to schedule ahead of time to ensure that you get the day and time you desire.

How Long Are Bridal Appointments?

We allot 1 hour for your bridal appointment. Because we are a boutique store, all gowns are out for browsing, and we have found one hour is the perfect amount of time to select your favorites and try them on. If you find you want to think over a particular gown longer, we can make a follow up appointment for you where you can review your top selections.

Can I Bring A Large Party To My Appointment?

We believe the more the merrier! We are a cozy boutique with limited seating, so please let us know ahead of time if you will be bringing in more than four people with you. We also allow dads and fiancées.

How Long Before My Wedding Should I Order My Bridal Gown?

Bridal gowns typically take at least 5-6 months for production and delivery. On top of that, you should allow two months for alterations, the minimum should be 6-7 months before your wedding date. Although we find many brides feel more secure by having their wedding dress in hand a few months prior to the actual wedding date. 9-12 months is the ideal comfort zone. We do, however accommodate rush orders for all you last-minute brides. For specific information, give us a call.

Does Madeleine's Host Trunk Shows?

Yes, Trunk shows are a designated time that Madeleine’s will have an extended selection of a particular designer. The trunk shows only last a couple of days, and appointments fill up quickly, so we recommend you book early if one of your favorite designers will be visiting Madeleine’s and you want to be able to shop the whole line.
